Balthazar

Horned warlock; former experimental subject of the Sun King

Kidnapped as a child and experimented on, Balthazar bears horns and burn scars as testament to his “training.” He carries a broken horn as a personal talisman — broken off in a moment of self-loathing — through which he occasionally hears distant voices. His mission, given at release: find the source of the The Black Water.

Druid; joined the party at Cricket’s pyre

Arrived in the aftermath of Cricket’s death and has been entangled with the party’s fate since. Has a weapon she can call at will (near-invisible to those who would confiscate it).

Silas

Ranger; uneasy conscience of the group

Arrived late and made it awkward. Keeps his own conspiracy notes and reads the landscape better than most.


Storr

Bard / warrior; the bedtime story guy

Read the party a bedtime story once. Also gets laid out by twelve-year-olds occasionally.


Krambler

Scout; telescope aficionado

The one who looks through the telescope. Reliable intelligence-gatherer, less reliable at staying out of wells (see 2023-10-30 session).
