We discuss connections between stories. Cricket’s ember. The M ladies. Storm, sea and stone.
Possible directions to go:
- Back to the prison, to show the three the ember
- ,,,
The connections we’re making and discussing amongst ourselves, Bardh would have told us The God King Story as a response.
Br: I think we’ve met grog in your story
Bar: Unlikely. Everyone knows that story. No one should spoil a good story with the truth. They’re just stories!
Br: how old?
Bar: I’m an old man! I don’t know
Br: 90? 900? You’ve gathered or witnessed?
Bar: Well i told you i ran into this red blade bloke, he was a meglomaniac. He was a meathead, but he moved beautifully.
Storr: How long ago did you meet him?
Long time ago
Were you a young man? Were you already a father?
Hard to say.
Br: Ever heard of Abbot Bryok?
Who?
Storr: Ever heard of the foundling?
The foundling?? Well, lots in stories, but if you talk about THE foundling, there;s one that came from royal lineage that left to go set a watch. This young prince walks off and then comes back and declare something, I don’t know.
Bal: What was he watching?
It was about the time. He was going to come back when the time was right. A motif that shows up i stories, the young child that sees something, walks off into the wilderness.
Bal relates that The Abbot has been referred to us as the foundling, and the abbot returned to this illusionary city and walked into a fountain and died. Celebrated as the return of the foundling. This was him returning from his watch.
Bardh recognized versions of all the stories except Foamflower.
Bardh reads Foamflower.
Bardh: This is storytelling. You seem to be taking it as verifiable truth. Motif of a seer. There are people out there that can see more than others. It seems magicalk to some, but it’s just perception.
Heard of The Waterfall City?
No, never been there.
Have you heard of —
I’ve heard of Gale. There was a one eyed smith, Bremphyr (brother of Osgog, son of Mons)
Br brings out Gale
That’s a nice sword where;d you get it?
This is a bronze? sword named Gale.
One of his sisters was a sailor, and he forged a sword out of a storm
Gale is a creation of Mons’ child, Bremphyr.
Br wonders if Mabnoss and Mons are not on the same page and how this sword feels.
We do a series of rolls, and burn the rest of our fellowship points.
Gale does connect to Br, and you’re questioning in terms of your lady and Mons, you recognize you feel that the maker of this blade had two parents, and that ultimately the choice was to harness or to direct the nature of the metal in the blade without controlling it.
He went with his mother, not his father. We don’t know who Mons’ wife was.
Br wanted to know if this creation from Mons son is a comfort or an abomination. It was created by Bremphyr. Mons wants to control, the other way is allowing nature to flourish.
Br has a flash, an revelation: Mother and daughter, one and the same. Maybe one of Mobnoss’s daughters,
Bremphyr is Mabnoss’ son. This sword was forged by my lady’s son, adn feels right in her hand.
Is Mons another name from Mogg?
Mabnoss is Bremphyr/Weyland’s mother. Mons is Bremphyr’s father. Mabmnoss is Mog’s wife. Mog + Mabmnoss = Mons + M
